Ex-Minister of Health of Kazakhstan discharged from hospital
Former Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov was discharged from an infectious disease hospital. This was announced on July 3 by the deputy head of the Ministry of Health Azhar Giniyat at a briefing. According to her, the ex-minister was discharged after improving his health. The civil servant continues treatment on an outpatient basis. Earlier, Birtanov contracted coronavirus and resigned as minister. He explained his decision by the need for additional treatment and the complication of the epidemiological situation in the country, which requires full management of the industry. According to the news agency, on June 25, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev dismissed the Minister of Health of the Republic Yelzhan Birtanov.
