DPRK leader calls nuclear deterrence forces a guarantee of country's security

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said on July 28 that the security and reliable protection of the DPRK is provided by nuclear deterrence forces. The head of the country spoke at a national conference of veterans dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the signing of the armistice agreement in the Korean War, the Korean Central Telegraph Agency reports. Thanks to our reliable and effective nuclear deterrent forces, there will never be a war on this earth again, and guarantees of our national security and future are secured forever, Kim Jong-un quotes the agency. According to him, the DPRK was able to cope with pressure and threats from hostile imperialist forces and became a country that is able to protect itself from any pressure, military threats and blackmail. Recall that the Korean War was the first largest military conflict after the end of World War II. The armed forces of China, the USSR, the USA, as well as North and South Korea took part in the conflict on both sides. According to the news agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took part in commemorative events on the occasion of the anniversary of the signing of the armistice agreement in the Korean War. This date is celebrated in the DPRK as Victory Day.
