Albanian opposition leader accuses Edi Rama's government of isolating the country
The head of the Democratic Party of Albania and the leader of the country's opposition, Lulzim Basha, gave an exclusive interview for the Albanian news agency Telegrafi. The main topic of the interview was the epidemiological situation in Albania and the ineffective leadership of the Edi Rama government in a crisis. According to the politician, the government was powerless in the pandemic and a new increase in the number of infections led to the country's international isolation. The government of Edie Rama, according to Bashi, does not have a clear plan or strategy of action, which leads to a rapid deterioration in the situation both in the economy and in the health sector: It seems that the government has already surrendered and released the situation from its hands, endangering the lives of citizens. After two months of isolation, the Government has neither taken any action nor adopted any strategy to overcome the crisis. Citizens emerged from isolation with a destroyed economy and face the rapid spread of the virus. We are the country with the lowest number of coronavirus tests. The government thinks it can get away with it by hiding the number of people who die from COVID-19. Many citizens with symptoms not only do not undergo an examination, but do not even receive advice on how to conduct treatment. What strategy is being pursued? How is the virus fought? What happens in two weeks, a month or fall? Anything. Lyulzim Basha
