Local specialists resumed work at US bases in South Korea
On June 15, South Korean employees of US military bases in South Korea, previously sent on unpaid leave, again began work. This was reported by Yonhap News with reference to representatives of the US Forces Command in South Korea (USFK). Recall that from April 1, some South Korean specialists working at US military bases in South Korea were sent on unpaid leave due to the fact that one hundred Seoul and Washington could not reach agreements on joint defense spending. It is noted that South Korean specialists were able to return to work thanks to the agreement of Washington and Seoul to allocate $200 million by the South Korean side to pay 4,000 people.
