Defeat of the Red Army: how Poland defended independence

On August 14, 1920, Soviet troops made the most dangerous breakthrough in the Polish defense, finding themselves 15 km from the bridge over the Vistula. Warsaw, like all of Europe, froze in panic. However, the Red Army was not allowed to deliver the final blow. Taking advantage of the mistakes of the Soviet command and thanks to radio intelligence, the Poles dealt the enemy a crushing blow and defended the independence of their country. Near Warsaw, about 45 thousand Red Army soldiers were killed. Mikhail Tukhachevsky blamed the failure of the command of the 4th Army. A number of historians also consider Joseph Stalin responsible for the defeat.
